Aerators come in many sizes and shapes. Fitting an aerator to a pond is akin to fitting shoes to your feet - you don't want them to be too small or too big. The following is some of the more popular aerators that we distribute. They are all manufactured by Otterbine Barebo Inc. with the best warranty in the market place. All of these aerators are easy to set up - just plug them in! Most of these aerators are easy to set up.

Little Titan Aerator

The Little Titan aerator is ideal for ponds that are 1/4 acre in size. This 1/6 Hp aerator moves 120 gpm yet costs only about 25 ¢ a day to run (at current Hydro One rates). The spray height is 0.3 m (1 ft) and the spray diameter is 0.9 m (3 ft). They are equipped with 15 m (50 ft) of SJOOW underwater cable but additional cord lengths are available. Starburst Aerator

The Starburst aerator is similar to the Little Titan in that it is a 1/6 Hp motor. However the Starburst sprays higher at 0.6 m (2 ft) and wider at 2.2 m (8 ft). The Starburst moves 99 GPM and is significantly quieter than the Little Titan. Cable length, operating costs, etc. are the same as for the Little Titan. AquaSeries Aerator

This newest addition to the Otterbine line was launched in 2004 and has proven to be quite popular. It is the next step up from the Little Titan and Starburst with a 1/4 Hp or 1/2 Hp motor. They are excellent aerators for ponds from ½ to 1 acre. They have two interchangable patterns - the AquaGem shown on the left and the AquaBlast in the inset. Most pond owners prefer the AqauGem setting. The spray height of a 1/4 Hp Aquagem is 0.9 m (3 ft) while the spray diameter is 2.1 m (7 ft). A two light set is also available. Lights are very useful feature as they attract a great number of insects. The insects are knocked down by the cascading water and become a source of food for your fish. It sounds unlikely, but the fish actually gravitate toward the fountain one the lights are on, knowing that food will soon be there! The 1/4 Hp comes with a 15m (50 ft) cord, while the 1/2 Hp has a 30 m (100 ft) cord.

Instant Fountain

Frequently specified in housing developments, commercial complexes, theme parks, golf courses and residential ponds, the Instant Fountain will present your waterbody with an added enhancement to be enjoyed by all onlookers. The Instant Fountain is ideal for ponds that are ½ to 1 acre in size and require both aeration and beauty. The Instant Fountain offers 3 easy to change patterns. Phenix, Starburst and Rocket. Pumping rates range from 80 to 125 gpm, spray heights of .8 m (2.5 ft) to 2.9 m (12 ft), and diameters of 0.6 m (2 ft) to 4.3 m (12 ft). A 3 light set is also available.
